Author Guidelines

Full-Length Articles: The OKH Journal welcomes the submission of full-length scholarly articles of 6,000-9,000 words (excluding references and other supplementary material) that fall within the mission of the journal.  Full-length articles must meet all of the requirements listed in the "Submission Preparation Checklist" below, and be submitted directly to the journal website.  Articles will be reviewed by a double-blind peer review process to be considered for publication.

Discussion Pieces: The OKH Journal reserves space for more informal written pieces, discussing previous journal articles, news events, or opinions on topics that are central to its mission.  Discussion pieces should be 1,000-2,000 words in length and must meet the first three requirements (only) listed in the "Submission Preparation Checklist" below.  Publication decisions for discussion pieces will be made by the editor based on the quality of the submissions.

Book Reviews: The OKH Journal also welcomes reviews of books relevant to the mission of the journal.  Reviewers should prepare a review of 800-1,200 words in length that meets the first three requirements (only) listed in the "Submission Preparation Checklist" below. Publication decisions for book reviews will be made by the editor based on the quality of the review and its relevance to the mission of the OKH Journal.
